Good morning and welcome back. This week we are taking a fresh look at a mineral I originally posted an article about back on the 16th of March in 2018. That mineral, Peach Moonstone, falls into my favorite category which is the Feldspar’s. I absolutely love the energy and look of them. My goal is to one day own a nice sample of every Feldspar this planet has to share. So far I have a pretty good start 🙂
Peach Moonstone is considered rare. It gets its color which can range from a slightly orange/pink to a lovely peach from aluminum being present in the mix as the stone is forming. As with any other Moonstone, this variety can also be opaque to translucent. My piece is more translucent along the edges where you can see a lovely blue/pink shimmer. I did my best to capture the shimmer in my picture.
The only first find information I could track down didn’t give me a name or date, just a location of the ancient city state of Rome but I am not sure how accurate that is. The Romans did love and use it for jewelry, sometimes giving it as a wedding gift to ensure a child would be conceived. They also believed it would give Mother and Child protection during child birth.
Other locations around the world where Peach Moonstone can be found is in India, Madagascar, Brazil, SriLanka, Myanmar and the US. Currently Madagascar has the the largest quantities available on the market. Depending on the amount of aluminum each source may have different shades of peach. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see samples side by side?
Like the Moonstone family as a whole today’s crystal topic shares the same Divine Feminine Goddess energy. Working with it will help strengthen your intuition and psychic abilities as well as help put order to your life and discover where you fit into the universe. It will help you learn to trust your inner Goddess.
I haven’t mentioned these two bits of information yet so before we move on, the color of Peach Moonstone means it resonates very well with the Sacaral, Solar Plexus, Heart and Crown chakras; and on the Mohs Scale it comes in at 6 – 6.5.
Peach Moonstone is known as the stone of new beginnings and sudden inspiration. When working with it, it can help you reignite a passion for something that might have been set aside then give you the courage to get going in that direction again. Some of the other qualities this stone has to offer are:
- It encourages exploring creative abilities you might not have known you had.
- It helps you overcome negative self talk.
- It helps you focus on self care and encourages doing something loving for yourself.
- It helps you get into the rhythm of your life.
- Meditating with Peach Moonstone can help breakthrough emotional blockages that are holding you back.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief look at Peach Moonstone. If its qualities resonate with you I encourage you to purchase a piece and work with it. Keep in mind I am not a doctor and sharing healing qualities of this stone or any crystal or mineral is in no way giving medical advice. Working with it can help but if you are ill see your medical practitioner of choice.
Until Next Time…
Blessed Be ❤ Sharon
