For most people, the word Jasper brings to mind images of an orange/red stone. There are types like this, back in January I wrote about Mookaite Jasper. In reality the Jasper family is thousands of colorful varieties. Today we are talking about Kambaba Jasper which, interestingly enough, is not a jasper at all. It is what is known as a Stromatolite. A type of sedimentary rock formed from fossilized blue/green alge with quartz, feldspar and other minerals in the mix.
Kambaba Jasper is found mainly in Madagascar, and South Africa, but from my research, is also found in India, Bolivia and Germany as well. This might be a misconseption as Kambaba Jasper is sometimes mistaken for Nebula Sone. Which is the result of volcanic activity found in Mexico and South America. They are basically the same colors, black and green, but reversed. On the Mohs Scale Kambab Jasper is a 6.5 to 7, and it resonates with the Root and Heart Chakras.
I love the combination of the Heart and Root chakra energy working together. It makes it a very peaceful nurturing vibe. As a matter of fact, it’s been called the stone of peace and tranquility. It calms your nerves by eliminating negative energy and strengthening your aura to create a balance of body and spirit. This Heart/Root pairing also support you during times of deep emotional pain. The Root chakra will give the strength to persevere and the Heart Chakra will open you to love, self love, and compassion.
Some of the other qulaities Kambab Jasper has to offer are:
- Helps you connect to Mother Earth.
- Helps you sleep peacefully.
- Helps you access wisdom from past lives to release negativity from your life
- Helps open the Heart and Root Chakra.
- Helps you get focused and disciplined to get back on track.
- Detoxes and heals on a cellular level.
I hope you found this introduction to Kambaba Jasper useful and interesting. If it seems like something you would like to work with, I encourage you to acquire a piece and give it a try. Remember that crystals and minerals were given to the Earth to enhance our lives. I am in no way suggesting anyone leave allopathic medicine. Rather the purpose of these weekly articles is to offer alternative options to enhance your lives, our well being, and the healing process.
Blessed Be ❤ Sharon
