One very important thing to know about today’s crystal topic, Cinnabarite, is that although it has amazing qualities to enhance your life, it’s toxic and must be worn and used carefully. Cinnabar is a Mercury Sulfide and the source of the silver in thermometers. It’s been known as a poison for centuries. Cinnabar or Cinnabarite should never be used to make an elixir, and should not be worn next to the skin unless mounted into something that will keep it away from contact with skin. It is also a good idea to wash your hands after handling it. Polishing makes it a little safer, but still err on the side of caution and wash your hands after handling.
Now if you are still with me, good for you! As I said, Cinnabarite has many wonderful qualities to enhance our lives. It is both a crystal and an ore, which is interesting. The locations where Cinnabar and Cinnabarite can be found are countries across Europe like Spain, Italy, and Russia. The Chakra it works with is the Root and on the Mohs scale Cinnabarite varies between 2 to 2.5.
Cinnabarite is a stone of manifestation. It helps us bring things into reality. Some of the other qualities of this stone are:
- Helping to improve communication.
- Helps you think in inspired, creative and spiritual ways.
- Releases fear so you have power to live your life.
- Increases self-confidence.
- Aligns all Chakras
- On the health level cinnabarite is said to heal blood issues, strengthen the immune system and help heal infections.
This brings me to the point in my post where I must tell you I am not a doctor, nor am I suggesting you leave the wonderous world that is allopathic medicine. I share these posts to offer alternatives for your health and wellbeing. If Cinnabarite sounds like a stone that sounds interesting to work with. I encourage you to visit your local metaphysical shop purchace a piece and give it a try.
