This month opens the door to a period of change and potential. Today’s cards are swinging the door open a little further with the Ace of Swords and The Hanged Man as our underlying energy. Whatever the possibility is for each of us might take some work to recognize. We are going to have to be willing to cut through some debris to see it. Our main card is an ace. This means a new beginning. Being in the suit of swords, we are in the realm of thought and intellect. The new thing could be an idea, or a fresh attitude about an old one. Maybe it will be a new truth, or a new commitment to a previous goal. Whatever it may be, we should keep in mind that our sword is double edged. Our beginning could come as the result of a loss of some kind. Beginnings do come after endings, don’t they? Rather than grieve the loss, if we embrace it and look at the situation from a different perspective. Chances are we will see that it really is a good thing because it leads us to a new level of understanding of what we want and what is available to us if we have an open mind.
Today’s Universal Number
Knowing there is nothing random in the universe, it is interesting to me that today is an Eight Day. It has a powerful energy which seeks a high level of authority, order and structure. Eight almost demands action, and because of this it will help us find any hidden gems of possibility today.
Today’s Crystal
I chose Mookaite Jasper to accompany today’s cards. It is a unique stone found only in a certain area of Australia. Mookaite has many wonderful qualities but I chose it for its ability to open us up to new ideas and experiences.
