We have another Calcite today, Pink. My goal is to have a sample of every color calcite the earth gives us, I am almost there. This particular type of calcite gets its soft pink color from Manganese. It was first found in Slovakia but can be found in several other countries like the Chech Republic, Peru, Briton, Brazil and the US, to name a few. Like other types of calcite, this is a pretty soft material. On the Mohs scale it ranges between a 2.5 to 3. It can also be clear or opaque, and sometimes banded; similar to an agate.
Being pink this calcite is very much a Heart Chakra stone. It also works well with the Crown Chakra, but I will discuss the Heart first. This stone has a calming, serene vibe that helps us release fear and open ourselves to new opportunities and levels of love. Some additional Heart Chakra qualities are:
- Increases self-love, self-confidence and self esteem
- Helps deal with and clear traumatic emotional situations
- Helps rebuild the Heart Chakra after doing emotional work
- Helps ease anxiety so we can learn to trust
- Helps us be more compassionate
Working with Pink Calcite and the Crown Chakra helps connect us to Divine Love. Meditating with it can help connect you to your guardians and spirit guides. It is also said to be a good tool for astral travel, although I have not tried this, so I can’t personally say how easily it helps you leave and come back.
On the physical level Pink calcite is said to help relieve pain, help with bone and joint issues, strengthen the immune system and ease nightmares.
