Today we have a metal rather than a crystal or mineral to discuss. Metals, such as Copper, have spiritual and healing aspects as well so, rather than start a new category, I’ll talk about them here.
Copper has been in use for thousands of years, and is one of the best conductors of heat and energy making it useful in manufacturing and other applications for everyday life. Archeologists have found evidence of smelting capabilities for copper that date from four to five thousand years ago.
Most of the planets large sources of copper have been mined out so supplies are now being taken from minerals that contain copper, such as Malachite, Bornite, Azurite, Dioptase and Chalcopyrite, to name a few. Most of these minerals are found in Australia, Germany, Russia, and the US.
Even though it is a mineral found in our bodies and necessary for good health, getting too much of it can be very dangerous and potentially deadly. Realistically most people do not have the recommended amounts of copper in their diets to worry, but it is still a good idea to wash your hands after handling any raw mineral that contains copper. If it’s been tumbled there is less of a chance for absorption in your system; still safty is a good idea. On the Mohs scale Copper is a soft 3 which is why it is so useful in electronics and wire for electrical systems. It resonates well with all the Chakras but works very well with Root and Sacral Chakras.
The energy of Copper is about flow, which makes sense as it is an awesome conductor, it moves spiritual energy between people, their auras, crystals as well as the planet. Placing a piece of copper next to any crystal will enhance the qualities of that crystal. Some of the other characteristics of Copper are:
- Protects the blood against disease.
- Stimulates communication and channeling, and psychic abilities.
- Helps boost self-esteem.
- Strengthens consciousness and amplifies thought.
- Helps you recognize barriers that are blocking your life path.
- Connects the physical and astral bodies.
- Eases pain and cramps.
- Helps improve gland function.
- Helps prevent joint damage.
- Improves blood flow in the body.
- Stabilizes the metabolism.
This is the point; you knew it was coming. You know what I am going to say, but it must be said: I am not a doctor and am in no way suggesting you leave the lovely allopathic medical system. I am only offering alternate possibilities for your health and well-being.
