We again have two reversed cards, the Three of Cups and the Eight of Swords. The reversed Three of Cups tells us that sometimes what makes us happy will also make us unhappy. Sometimes things don’t work out the way we expected. Sometimes we are disappointed by people, even by our own behavior. Life doesn’t always go as planned.
The Eight of Swords reversed is a card of freedom. Upright this is a card that shows a feeling of being trapped by our fears, being bound by limiting thoughts, and beliefs. in the reversed position we are seeing the truth and are breaking free of our fears because of it.
As we move through our day we need to remember that we cannot possibly make everyone happy, so we shouldn’t break our back trying to be all things to all people. Life will have its disappointment, and it’s ok to walk away, to go it alone if that is what it takes for us to be true to who we are, and who we are working to become. We should never compromise our beliefs or our boundaries.
