I found this cool piece of Sandstone on one of my morning walks. I thought I would do a post about it because it shows us that even what most people think is an ordinary stone has industrial, physical or spiritual purpose in our lives.
Sandstone and limestone are sometimes confused. While they are both sedimentary rocks, Limestone is chemically based (lime) and forms in layers, Sandstone is composed of sand made of quartz and a blend of minerals. It can be found all over the world in a range of colors depending on the minerals of the area. You might find blue, green, red, orange, yellow, white or pink sandstone. This makes it a very creative stone to work with, and tells us why it is known as a stone of creativity. All the elements, earth-air-fire and water, are required to make it. Sandstone is also wonderful to use for Feng Shui work. This stone is used industrially in filtering systems and is made into tiles for homes.
Sandstone works well with the Root and Sacral Chakras giving us balance and stability. It helps us be emotionally secure, go with the flow of life and follow our passions. It helps control mood swings, uncover truth and strengthen relationships.
