Tigers Eye is a silica based crystal that can be found in many countries such as the US, Canada, Australia, India and Africa. It has a mineral in it called Crocidolite that gives it the soft luminous appearance we love. The color comes from iron oxide which gives the crystal a range of color from yellow and blue. Tigers Eye can also be found in red but this color is achieved by heat treating.
The energy of this crystal works well with the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras making it grounding, protective, energizing and creative. It clears negativity from the Solar Plexus, helps increase focus and supports metabolism. Tigers Eye helps relieve anxiety, shields the aura from unwanted energy, Opens the third eye to help strengthen discernment. It can also be used to draw a steady flow of money into the home.
