Snowflake Obsidian in the Morning Light

Obsidian is a type of natural glass that forms when lava cools very quickly. It can be found in colors like black, brown and green. Some forms of obsidian have inclusions of mica or feldspar as this piece has.

I like snowflake obsidian because it is the yin and yang melded into crystal. Light exists because there is dark and dark exists because there is light. Neither can be, without the other.

This crystal helps us stay grounded, transmutes negativity and helps us get out of our own way so that we can find new and creative ways to solve problems. Snowflake obsidian protects our life force, our aura as well as our root and sacral chakras.

Emotionally it lifts our mood to give us a more positive outlook to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
