My Favorites: Crystals (pt. 1)

In my previous post I spoke about energy, that everything is energy. We are energy beings (Spirit) living a physical existence. Because everything has been created by the Godhead; everything is interdependent. We need the energy of the plants, the animals, the rocks and crystals, water and air to live our lives to the highest level just as they need our energy to live theirs.

All crystals and gemstones have properties that heal and enhance our lives. Before I begin I must first say that I am not a doctor and I am in no way telling you to stop going to your chosen medical practitioner for any health issues. Yes I believe in and use the healing properties of crystals but from a legal standpoint I can not diagnose illness nor can I prescribe a solution to an illness. I can tell you about healing experiences I have had using crystals. In doing so maybe you will be encouraged to learn for yourself the wonders of working with crystals. This week I would like to tell you about the crystals I am never without. They are Amethyst, Citrine and Clear Quartz.

Never without!
Never without! (Quartz, Citrine, Amethyst)

Quartz is a very large family with many types of crystal formations and colors that range from clear to blue, green, pink, brown and orange. Each different formation and color has different energies for available for our use. Being quartz they also share a basic platform of energy. Quartz is a powerful crystal it can hold an transmit energy, thought, memories. Back in the day radios and televisions used quartz to power the units. Even watches use quartz movements. It will enhance your spiritual awareness and awakening, clear negativity from you on all levels and detoxify your aura. Quartz also brings goodness to you on all levels. As an energy transmitter it will magnify the energy of crystals it is with. I use quartz in the jewelry I make for its energy goodness and for its ability to enhance the properties of other gems.

Amethyst is a member of the very large Quartz family. Its color ranges from light to deep purple. This is a crystal of peace and spirituality. It will help you work through issues calmly to find peace. Amethyst will open you up to your spirituality and help you find your truth. It is also a good stone to aid in the fight of addictive behaviors like alcohol and drugs. In ancient times amethyst was given to people who had alcohol addictions as a means to help overcome the addiction. Amethyst is also a beneficial stone for people prone to migraines. I purchased my Amethyst pendant about eight years ago. When I saw it I felt a connection that I can only describe as finding something I didn’t know I had lost. The only time I take it off is when I clear its energy and during the full moon I will hang it in a window where the moon light will shine on it all night. I have not had a migraine since I began wearing it. I also carry it for its spiritual boost and I use it for pendulum divination.

Citrine is another member of the Quartz family. Its colors range from yellow to golden brown. Citrine stimulates your thinking and helps your creativity. I am a very creative person and this is why I carry the Citrine. I enjoy the boost it gives me; Citrine will help grow self-esteem, clear, detox, and move your energy to open blockages in your upper Chakras. Citrine is also said to attract abundance to you and heal old patterns of behavior that are no longer of use to your life.

If you are interested in finding out more about crystals there are many really great books and websites to check out. I have three favorite books that I use often, they are: Healing With Gemstones and Crystals by Diane Stein,  Love is in the Earth A Kaleidoscope of Crystals by Melody, and Crystal Therapy How to Heal and Empower Your Life with Crystal Energy by Doreen Virtue and Judith Lukomski.

I decided that Tuesday is gong to be a recycle old post day. So welcome to Recycle Tuesday! Shortly after starting my blog I did a series of posts about my favorite crystals. This was the first in that series. I hope you enjoy it.

  2. I felt the the same way you did with your amethyst when I found a lovely piece of hawks eye. I have a few necklaces, but this one is my favorite, like I am consistently drawn to it more than the others. Thanks for sharing Sharon.
